If there is one point Lebron has a clear edge over Jordan, it is Assists. While Lebron has brought on many of the comparisons with Jordan through his actions and words, he is far closer statistically to Magic Johnson or Larry Bird than to Jordan. The data makes clear several distinctions. A- There is not a single season in which Jordan can lay claim to this statistic. Lebron wins soundly in all eleven seasons reviewed. B- Despite his reputation as a ball hog, Jordan put up respectible assist totals. His best season aged 25, Jordan averaged nearly 8 assists a game. This is excelent for a shooting guard. C- Lebron seems to show no major decline due to age. His best season captured was age 32 where he averaged nearly 9 assists a game. This is past the age when most athletes enter the second half of their career.
